Blooming in 2021 using the 3 G’s: God, Goals & Grind 💖

Wherever life plants you, bloom with grace. Stop putting off your dreams until tomorrow.

God:

Never underestimate a woman with a prayer and a plan. One of my goals every year is to remain consistent in my relationship with God. Devoting time, praying, and allowing God into my heart fully are so important to me. Many times, people are seeking a word of God for a sign or a solution to a problem, but they haven’t utilized the word he has already provided us with. In most cases, I am guilty of allowing my anxiety to get the best of me. The constant worrying about what’s to come or how I will achieve my goals has to stop. God has never failed me, so why am I so fearful? We can pray all day long, but if we do not put some action behind those prayers, we probably won’t see the best results. I don’t want to just SPEAK or WRITE about it; I want to BE about it too. While putting in the work, I’m going to chill and allow God to lead me right into my next phase of life. Success is right around the corner for me!

Goals:

One must be clear about their goals and dreams. Whether it’s a healthy relationship, a better job or an increase in income, know it and own it.

“Write it down on real paper with a real pencil with real intent and watch things get real.”

-Erykah Badu

When you have goals that seem unattainable, write them out, pray, and watch your dreams come true. You can do this in many ways which include visualization, a vision board, a goal list, or a future box. A vision board has been my go-to the last few years. Over 2020, my vision board came to life, and I really enjoyed how interactive I made the experience with my first virtual vision board. I was able to update my friends and followers as I completed a task or met a goal.

Amid setting your goals, don’t allow the naysayers to discourage you. Remember, the people booing aren‘t even on the playing field with you, they paid to watch your journey. Don’t waste time trying to live someone else’s life, even if that means pissing a few people off or leaving some people behind along the way. You will never influence the world trying to be like it. I don’t plan on taking my foot off the gas until I manifest everything, I said I would. Massive, wild, and downright crazy goals can make our life more enjoyable and fulfilling. Always believe something magical is about to happen. If one plan doesn’t work, change the plan but never change the goal.

Grind:

“Wake up determined. Go to bed satisfied.”

-Dwayne Johnson

To avoid aimless grinding to pursue a well defined goal(s), you must cultivate a mindset of strategic determination. This will allow you to approach everything with patience and an open mind. Clearly establish what you need to learn, how you can gather intel and what steps you need to take to reach your destination. Once you have your goals in mind, lay out a road map to achieving them. One must find the perfect balance between grinding, building, and chilling to live your best life. You can’t lose yourself while trying to achieve your goals. Avoid using other people’s expectations and values to measure your own accomplishments. By doing that, you can prevent yourself from ever feeling truly fulfilled. Let everyone sleep on you if they want to, that glow of success will wake them all the way up.

Most of us work hard to achieve our goals that bring us closer and closer to our vision, but we fail to celebrate the small victories. Rather than solely focusing on the outcome, which is equally important, we also need to focus on the process. Learn how to enjoy the process while pursuing success and you will be successful by default.

Lastly, consistency matters; not only in your pursuit to success but also for your overall brand. If you are inconsistent, you can easily undermine both. My main goal is to have my productivity based on consistency. You must build a system around what you want which includes: routines, tasks, people, rewards, consequences, events and tools. Figure out which task is best for you to start with. Keep your eye on your WHY. The more reasons you have for achieving your goals, 9/10 you’re more likely to be consistent. One of the most important things to consistency is scheduling. Personally, I like to plan out my content by the month to ensure I’m active on a constant basis. And remember to reward yourself for all your hard work! Reward and recognition for yourself breads more success.

I’ll leave you with this:

We do not have to linger where we are planted; if we are withering in areas that we have the capability to bloom, we owe it to ourselves to uproot.
